Every Expression Sessions year had its own T-shirt, drawn for that festival. Those 2010–2019 designs are back as archive prints — on the signature triblend, the same soft shirt the shop is known for. A decade of Masset surf history, wearable again.
From the beach
North Beach Surf Shop began in Masset in 2008, beginner-first: boards, wetsuits and lessons for an island learning to surf its own North Beach. The Expression Sessions — the shop's annual non-judged surf gathering — put the whole community in the water. By 2014, the Haida Gwaii Observer was calling the Sessions "an institution here on Haida Gwaii."

That spirit is in every design in the store: the posters on the wall, the tees from each year's festival, and the marks the shop has worn since the beginning.
Artwork by Rika
The oceanscapes and the Expression Sessions artwork are Rika's — brushed ink and watercolour from a Vancouver studio, drawn from a coastline that runs from South Vancouver Island to the north tip of Haida Gwaii: Rose Spit, Hiellen, Hecate Strait, North Beach itself. Rika's art is ingrained in this brand — the posters, the tees, and the look of the shop all carry his hand. The partnership behind it runs back years, and the credit on the work is his: Rika.
